Women’s History Month celebration planned

The Organization for the Advancement of Women and the Office for Diversity at Penn State Hershey is holding an event from 5 to 6:30 p.m. March 18 in the University Conference Center in recognition of Women’s History Month. Nancy Roseman, the first woman president of Dickinson College, will be the keynote speaker.

Roseman became the 28th president of Dickinson College on July 1. She is steeped in the liberal arts and sciences tradition from her undergraduate education at Smith College to her 21 year career at Williams College. Roseman graduated from Smith College in 1980 and earned her doctorate in microbiology from Oregon State University in 1987. After a post-doctoral fellowship in biochemistry at Oregon State, she joined the biology department at Williams in 1991.

The recipient of the 3C (Committed, Community, Change) Award will also be honored at the event.
