'The Vagina Monologues' coming to Schwab Auditorium Feb. 7 and 8

Triota, The Center for Women Students, The Commission for Women, and UPAC are sponsoring two performances of the acclaimed “The Vagina Monologues."

“The Vagina Monologues,” an iconic production of women’s empowerment, will be held Feb. 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. in Schwab Auditorium. The performance is free and doors open at 6:30 p.m. with priority seating for University Park students. Donations benefit the Center County Women's Resource Center and V-Day's One Billion Rising and will be collected online.

“The Vagina Monologues” is a collection of interviews-turned-monologues written by award-winning playwright Eve Ensler. With the goal of raising money and awareness for victimized women facing abuse across the globe, the play covers a wide range of topics from menstruation to female genital mutilation, first dates to love, domestic violence to rape and sexual abuse. Honest and eye-opening, “The Vagina Monologues” will make an impact on anyone who sees it.
