UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs has named eight faculty members as distinguished professors.

Distinguished professors must be current, full-time active members of the faculty holding the rank of professor; not currently hold an endowed chair, professorship or faculty fellowship; and be acknowledged leaders in their fields of research or creative activity.
