Pennsylvania College of Technology will host two certification exams for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in 2014.Exams for those seeking Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist or NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer credentials are scheduled Saturday, April 12. Registration deadline is Feb. 14. Registrations received by Jan. 31 receive a discount.The Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation is for professionals who design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for athletes in a team setting. To sit for the exam, one must hold or be completing a bachelor’s degree.The NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer credential is for professionals who work with both active and sedentary clients in one-on-one situations.As the worldwide authority on strength and conditioning, NSCA supports and disseminates research-based knowledge and its practical application to improve athletic performance and fitness.
