There’s still time to donate a toy through the Toys for Tots collection being sponsored by the Student Veterans of America (SVA), York Chapter, at Penn State York. The toys will be distributed to less fortunate children in the community. Donations of new or gently used, unwrapped toys will be collected through Dec. 17.

Collection boxes are located by the box office in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center), The Bistro in The Pullo Center, the lobby of the Main Classroom Building, the lobby of the John J. Romano Administration Building, near the gym in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center, and in the lobby of the M.S. Grumbacher Information Sciences and Technology Center.

Penn State York is proud to host a chapter of SVA, a national organization, sharing best practices, success stories, and supporting one another to further strengthen the student veteran community. Since SVA’s founding in 2008, more than 1 million veterans have returned home to pursue a postsecondary degree. SVA focuses on veteran’s welfare to ensure student veterans are supported in their transition to education and employment. Through advocacy, partnerships and alumni support, SVA strives to help all student veterans succeed and contribute to civilian society.
