Students raise money for THON with 15-hour dance marathon

The first Penn State Altoona Benefiting THON "mini event" was a success raising $718.90 for the fight against pediatric cancer.

The event on Dec. 5 lasted 15 hours, from 9 a.m to midnight and included dancing, games, Nittany Idol, Zumba, family hour, and luminaries around the pond.

THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world donating all proceeds to The Four Diamonds Fund, which in turn benefits the Hershey Medical Center and its young patients battling pediatric cancer.
