Course in fundamentals of engineering/engineer-in-training is available

The Penn State Beaver Office of Continuing Education will offer a course in fundamentals of engineering/engineer-in-training on Tuesdays from Jan. 21 to July 15 at PennDOT in Bridgeville.

The course fee is $1,221. Course topics will include mathematics, statics, mechanics of materials, dynamics, ethics and economics, and a variety of other areas. Pennsylvania requires that every engineer, with or without a college degree, must pass the Engineer-In-Training (EIT) examination as the first step toward licensure in the state. To be eligible to take a Professional Engineer exam, a participant must have four years of work in an engineering-related area.
