Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence plans events

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence will present Improved Learning and Enhanced Teaching in Large Classes from 1:45 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in 201 Chambers Building and from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in 315 Rider Building.

This interactive workshop will explore strategies for enhancing student learning, assessing students' understanding and actively engaging students even in a lecture hall or auditorium.

The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence will also hold a STEM Women Faculty Peer Mentoring Group Brown Bag from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in 315 Rider Building. By faculty request, brown bag gatherings provide a forum for faculty (and allies) to discuss topics of relevance to group members as well as opportunities to share successes.  No registration is required.
