Penn State students can purchase tickets Monday for Nov. 9 game with Minnesota

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State students have an opportunity to attend the Nittany Lions’ contest at Minnesota on Saturday, Nov. 9. Students who want to attend the noon clash can purchase a ticket at Gate B (northeast corner) of the Bryce Jordan Center beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4.

A limited number of student tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis for the contest at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Each student will be permitted to purchase a $50 ticket and must present a valid Penn State ID+ Card to secure a ticket. All sales of all tickets will be done on a cash only basis. Credit cards and checks will not be accepted.

Students wanting to purchase tickets so that they may sit together at the Minnesota game will need to make their ticket purchase together at Gate  B of the BJC on Monday morning. Students may arrive at the Jordan Center at 6 a.m. on Monday for the sale.

If student tickets remain after 8 a.m. Monday, the sale will move from Gate B to the Athletic Ticket Office inside the BJC. Student tickets  will not be available after 4:30 p.m. Nov. 7.

Penn State students will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for every away game the Monday prior to each contest this season, with the exception of the Wisconsin game, when tickets will go on sale at 7 a.m. Nov. 18.

Coach Bill O’Brien’s Nittany Lions host Illinois at noon Saturday. Minnesota visits Indiana on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions and the Golden Gophers will be meeting for the first time since 2010 and the 13th time overall. Penn State owns an 8-4 on-field edge in the series, which began in 1993, earning the decision in the last four meetings. Penn State won in Minneapolis, 33-21, in the last meeting three years ago.

The Penn State-Minnesota game will be an ESPN2 national telecast. The game also will air on the Penn State Sports Network (10:30 a.m. airtime) and www.GoPSUsports.com.

Tickets are available for the Nittany Lions’ final three home games against Illinois (Nov. 2, THON Day), Purdue (Nov. 16, Seats For Soldiers) and Nebraska (Nov. 23, Senior Day).
