CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Penn State Lehigh Valley Veterans Club will serve as host for the campus' 2013 commemoration of Veterans Day at 1 p.m. Nov. 11 in Room 135 at the campus in Center Valley. This year's event will focus on the physical and emotional impact of deployment on military families. The event is free and open to the public.

As in years past, the event organizers have chosen to use the observance as an opportunity to shed light on real issues that service men and women face due to their military obligation. Speakers this year will include both current and former members of various military branches, as well as individuals with family members who serve in the armed forces. After they share their personal perspectives, a question-and-answer session will allow audience members to interact with the speakers. Refreshments will be served.
