NewSpace Global CEO to speak Oct. 28

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Richard David, CEO of NewSpace Global, will be speaking at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, in Room 125 of the Business Building.

NewSpace Global (NSG) is an information service provider that tracks the growing entrepreneurism and investment in what is being called the NewSpace industry. NSG has written several times about Penn State's Lunar Lion team and where the University fits into the growing commercial and private space industry.

Penn State has campus-wide access to NSG's publications and its online database through the University Libraries system. These resources have informed Penn State faculty and entrepreneurial students about opportunities in the space industry.

David's talk, titled "The Next Great Innovation Economy: Investing in the NewSpace Industry" is open to the public.

David holds his juris doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley and is currently an industry adviser of multiple commercial space operations programs. Prior to launching NewSpace Global, Richard worked as a private equity fund formation attorney in New York and London. He has appeared on NBC, Fox News, the "John Bathelor Show" and "The Space Show." 

His speech will focus on:
-- Core Principles for Investing in the next great innovation of economy. 
-- The challenges entrepreneurs face while trying to raise money. 
-- The critical angles for investors to acknowledge when researching.
