York to participate in National Alliance on Mental Illness Walk on Oct. 12

Penn State York students, faculty, staff and other friends will take part in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in York. The Penn State York team is being sponsored by the campus’ Human Development and Family Studies (HD FS) Club and the Diversity Committee. All Penn Staters will walk as a team, starting on the campus.

The cost is $5 for students and $15 for faculty and staff members. Family and friends of Penn State York are welcome to sign up as well. Free Penn State T-shirts will be provided for all walkers. For further walker information or to make a donation, contact Dr. Rick Pierce at rap4@psu.edu. Donations are still being accepted and checks should be made payable to NAMI York.
