Free community presentation about atrial fibrillation set for Oct. 29

A free community education program with updates about atrial fibrillation from Penn State Hershey Heart and Vascular Institute will be offered at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the University Conference Center on the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center campus.

A series of short presentations will include discussions on anticoagulants and preventing stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation, and intimacy and atrial fibrillation. These short presentations will be followed by an “ask the doctor” panel, in which participants are welcome to bring their questions to ask a member of the experts panel.

Participants will learn more about this heart rhythm disorder that affects more than 5 million people in the United States. Registration is preferred by calling 717-531-3907. Light dinner will be provided.
