Ideas in Innovation Series features mobile, digital health technologies

The next Ideas in Innovation Series is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10, discussing mobile and digital health technologies. Intended for students, faculty and staff, the free program will run from 4 to 5 p.m. in C3860 on the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine campus.

As a digital health consultant, Dr. David Scher will introduce the growing field of these innovative technologies. Scher will provide an overview of baseline mobile and digital health technologies, as well as, offering his own expertise on recent progress in the field.

Recognized as a digital health technology subject matter expert, Scher is a cardiac electrophysiologist and an active member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. He will use his own personal experience to enlighten program attendees of recent developments in mobile and digital health technologies as they affect the IT health care landscape.

The Ideas in Innovation Series gives faculty, post-docs, staff and students the opportunity to hear from industry experts on a variety of topics and trends affecting academic researchers and clinicians. Topics include funding, resources, services and technologies.
