Schreyer Institute plans two sessions of Active Learning workshop

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence will present two sessions of Active Learning from 1:45 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, in Room 201 Chambers Building and from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, in Room 315 Rider.

This interactive workshop for graduate students focuses on strategies instructors can use to engage students during class while providing significant learning experiences and outcomes. Time will be focused on easy ways to implement strategies for student engagement as well as quick tips and tricks to maximize active learning. This workshop is part of a three-seminar series focusing on developing classroom management skills for maximum student engagement and significant learning experiences in the classroom.
