Ambassador Richard Butler (Ret.) discusses the Syrian peace agreement

Penn State professor of international affairs, Distinguished Scholar of International Peace and Security, and former Australian Ambassador to the United Nations, Richard Butler reviewed the agreement on the destruction of Syrian chemical weapons soon after it was reached and provides his insights on the agreement and possible outcomes. Ambassador Butler has a deep expertise in the disarmament of nuclear and chemical weapons. In 1997, Secretary General Kofi Annan appointed Ambassador Butler Executive Chairman of the United Nations Special Commission to disarm Iraq.
