Two days of educational conferences offered by Heart and Vascular Institute

With the prevalence of cardiac and vascular disease in the United States, health care professionals must stay abreast of the developments within this field. Penn State Hershey Heart and Vascular Institute will offer two days of educational conferences at the Hershey Lodge for health care professionals. Those interested may register to attend either or both days.

Dimensions in Heart and Vascular Care: Advancing Your Scope of Practice is a new one-day, multi-track conference to be held on Friday, Oct. 18. This meeting is designed to highlight the numerous advancements within the field of heart and vascular care and includes tracks in prevention, diagnostic and imaging; endovascular; heartbeats in Hershey (quality and safety); health care economics (including a leadership conference); electrophysiology; and heart failure. Speakers will explore evidence-based research and demonstrate cutting-edge techniques that can be directly applied to clinical and academic practice. This conference is open to all health care professionals including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and administrators.

The fourth International Conference on ECMO Therapy will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19.
