Lady Lion Community Carnival offers free activities Oct. 6

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The two-time defending Big Ten Champion Penn State Lady Lion basketball team will be hosting a free Lady Lion Community Carnival from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, in the Bryce Jordan Center.

The 2013-14 Lady Lions will be on hand to run several carnival games, booths and food stations, while interacting with members of the community.

Fans will have their chance to dunk their favorite Lady Lions in a dunk tank as part of the activities. Among the games and booths at the Lady Lion Community Carnival will be a bounce house, ring toss, bean-bag toss, basketball hoops and duck pond. There will also be food available at the carnival, including popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, hot dogs, candied apples, pretzels, lemonade and apple cider.

Attendees should park in the parking lot adjacent to the Bryce Jordan Center (commuter Lot 44) and enter through Gate B of the BJC.

The limited bag policy will be in place for this event. Fans will be allowed to bring a diaper bag to the carnival in addition to the one clear, plastic, 1-gallon bag per person that will be permitted for medical needs, child care needs and general items as listed below.

Items that can fit in a pocket should remain in patrons' pockets (i.e. keys, cell phone, wallet, glasses, camera, sunscreen, lip balm, make-up). General items of this nature, including those that don't fit in patrons' pocket, can also be placed in the clear 1-gallon bag. All clear bags will be inspected through the bag and article check stations as in prior years.
