Penn State Shenango will hold its second annual Dr. Jane A. Williams Memorial 5K Run/1.5 Mile Walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Shenango campus located in downtown Sharon, Pa. The event is in honor of Williams, who was employed at the Shenango campus for 25 years before passing away after a brief illness.“We are hoping for another good turnout,” stated Jammie Tomasone, assistant director of Student Affairs. “Since Jane was a huge Jimmy Buffet fan, we are having a Jimmy Buffet themed event. It should be lots of fun, and all proceeds will support our students through the Dr. Jane A. Williams Memorial Trustee Scholarship.”Registration forms are available in the Student Affairs Office, Sharon Hall Room 103 or online at http://shenango.psu.edu/jane5k. Runners/walkers can register from now until 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event. The cost is $20 for runners and $15 for walkers.
