Bellefonte Art Museum hosts School of Visual Arts alumni show

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Bellefonte Art Museum for Centre County is hosting "A Legacy of Creative Endeavors," an exhibit of the creative and diverse artwork of 37 Penn State School of Visual Arts (SoVA) alumni, who continue to reside and work in Centre County. The exhibition will be on display through Sept. 29 in the Formal Gallery on the first floor of the museum.

All the artists in this special exhibit show a high level of individual skill and focus, and their works display an extensive range of media, in both traditional and experimental forms. Paintings, ceramics, photographs, prints, fiber arts, video and work executed in unusual materials, such as sugar and cellophane tape, are included.

The participating artists are Sylvia Apple, Joan Blasko, Cazia Bradley, Nancy Brassington, Dennis Charriere, Cindy Doliana, Jennifer Dolan Kelly, James Farrah, Benjamin Fehl, Kim Gates Flick, Melissa Forkner, Jean Forsberg, Ghislaine Fremaux, Susan Nicholas Gephart, Elody Gyekis, Jake Johnson, Liza Johnson, Sarah Kipp, Beverly Klucher, John Mangan, Jeff Mathison, Mark Messenger, Jeanne McKinney, Linna Muschlitz, Kim Morrison, Cynthia Nixon, Katarin Parizek, Susan Parsonage, Mary Lou Pepe, Michele Randall, Keith Shapiro, Wendy Snetsinger, William Snyder III, Jeanne Stevens-Sollman, Jennifer Anne Tucker, Mary Vollero and Denise Wagner.
