Student submissions sought for poster/multimedia contest promoting safety

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State students and organizations are invited to showcase their artistic talent and commitment to our community’s safety by participating in the second annual F8 Poster/Multi-Media Contest sponsored by F8, an ongoing project to evaluate and address adverse behavior in certain State College residential neighborhoods during the fall semester. 

The winners will have their work displayed on CATA buses throughout the Centre County area and in local downtown storefronts. The first place winner will also receive a $100 gift card for Panera, sponsored by Centre Region Code. The second place winner will receive $50 State College Gift Card, sponsored by the Downtown Business Association. The third place winner will receive a $25 State College Gift Card, sponsored by the Downtown Business Association. 

The contest is open to print graphics, multimedia clips or other media clips based on the theme of safety. All entries must be original works. Print graphics should be made to fit 17-inches by 11-inches horizontally and submitted via an editable format such as Publisher or jpeg. Multimedia entries must be capable of being viewed on YouTube. Entries must be submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. Sept. 20 to Emil L. Cunningham at emil@psu.edu.
