Winners of 13th annual Beaver Alumni Society golf outing are announced

The team from Kip’s Ice Cream won first place at the Penn State Beaver Alumni Society’s 13th annual Golf Outing held Monday, Sept. 9, at Seven Oaks Country Club in Brighton Township. This is the second consecutive year this team took top honors. Team members were Nick Andrews, Shane Hecht, John Murawski and Don Ware.

The Andrews Industrial Controls team won second place with members Brady Barbero, Bryan Dunn, Matt Morich and Mike Onisko.

Each first-place winner received a $75 gift certificate, all second-place winners received a $60 gift certificate and, as a way to recognize a random team, each ninth-place team member received a $50 gift certificate to the Seven Oaks Pro Shop.

Winners of the skills competition were Steve Ellis of the PNC Wealth Management team, longest drive, hole No. 3; Bob Janeda with the PLS Logistics team, longest first putt, hole No. 18; Chris Demos of the Long Shots team, closest to the pin, hole No. 11; and Gene Adamowski, Gray Family team, hole-in-one on hole No. 4. Adamowski received a Kindle Fire Table. Final net earnings from the outing are still being tabulated and will be announced at a later date.
