Penn State alumni and students are invited to attend career events

Penn State alumni and Penn State Beaver students are encouraged to attend two major career and job search events this fall. Penn State Career Days, the University’s largest career fair, will be held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, Sept. 17-19, at the Bryce Jordan Center, Penn State University Park. The Western Pennsylvania Career Services Association (WestPACS) Collegiate Job and Internship Fair will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Monroeville Convention Center, Monroeville.

The WestPACS event is the Pittsburgh region’s largest job fair for college students and alumni. Stephanie DeMaro, regional job and internship developer for Penn State’s western campuses, encourages students and alumni to attend both events in order to find internships and post-graduation employment. Beaver campus students will attend Penn State Career Days Wednesday, Sept. 18. More than 400 national and regional employers will be recruiting for internships and full-time and part-time positions in all technical and nontechnical majors. The event offers students and alumni an opportunity to meet with prospective employers as well as gain interviewing, networking, and presentation skills.

In addition, students can visit the Penn State Career Days website to submit resumes online through the Nittany Lion Career Network and schedule interviews on the days of the event. Employers are encouraged to register on the Nittany Lion Career Network to post available jobs and internships by visiting https://psu-consortia-csm.symplicity.com/employers/index.php. For information about either event, contact DeMaro at 724-773-3953 or saw163@psu.edu.
