Beaver County STEM will meet at Penn State Beaver

The public is invited to attend the free quarterly meeting of the Beaver County Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Group at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11, in Room 16, Student Union Building, Penn State Beaver. The group will a discussion of water transportation job opportunities and hold a question-and-answer session.

“Are There Jobs Down There? A Discussion of STEM Careers on the Waterways” will feature four individuals with years of experience working on the waterways, including an expert from the Waterways Bomb Squad; a commercial diver; a boat captain from Pittsburgh’s Gateway Clipper Fleet; and an employee of Ingram Barge, one of the country’s largest towing companies. The Beaver County STEM Group is designed to increase awareness of careers in the various fields of science and math. To RSVP or for more information, contact Angela A.
