Hartford Center at Penn State to host seminar Sept. 12

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence in the School of Nursing at Penn State will host a seminar led by visiting professor Phillipe Voyer from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 12. 

"Detecting Delirium Symptoms with RADAR: From Its Early Development Until Today and Beyond" will be held in 102 Health and Human Development East Building and videoconferenced to 1302 Academic Support Building, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. 

Voyer is a member of the nursing faculty at Laval University in Quebec City. RADAR (Recognizing Active Delirium As a Routine) is a screening tool developed by professor Voyer's team to assist nursing staff in identifying elderly patients with delirium, based on observations made while administering medication.
