Three at Penn State Beaver receive expanded roles, including duties at Shenango

This summer, three Penn State Beaver staff members received expanded roles and responsibilities that include working with Penn State Shenango in Sharon.

Dan Pinchot, director of enrollment management, has assumed oversight of Shenango’s Admissions and Financial Aid Office, in addition to his duties at Beaver. Admissions counselor Rachel Zughaib was named Beaver’s assistant director of admissions with more responsibilities for Beaver’s admissions activities, including oversight of recruitment, event planning and daily operations. Officer Anthony Budris, Beaver’s chief of police services, will oversee all security operations at Shenango as well as Beaver.

“In the spirit of sharing administrative infrastructure as suggested by the (Penn State) Core Council Report, we anticipate that our staffs will work together to enhance enrollment and safety at each location, increasing the opportunities available in our shared region of the Commonwealth,” said Beaver campus Chancellor Gary Keefer.

“This arrangement is the latest example of the collaborative relationship our two campuses have established over time,” Keefer noted. “Sharing personnel and academic programs has proved to be positive for Beaver and Shenango, and our fruitful partnership will continue into the future.”
