Michelle Kurtyka has been named Penn State Beaver’s assistant to the director of academic affairs, replacing Carleen Dinello, who retired this summer. Kurtyka will also serve as an instructor in kinesiology.
Kurtyka has been an adjunct lecturer in kinesiology since 2005 and has taught a variety of related courses. She has been a youth camp instructor for the Office of Continuing Education since 2003 and served on the oversight committee for the development of the Wellness Center. In addition, she is a certified instructor in first-aid and safety, CPR and automated external defibrillator. Kurtyka holds a master’s degree in teaching and curriculum from Penn State Harrisburg and a bachelor’s degree in physical education, health and exercise science from Slippery Rock University.
