Weekly farmers market features free concert series

The Farmers Market in Hershey offers locally grown produce, dairy products and other specialty items from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Thursday through October by the Cocoa Beanery off Bullfrog Valley Road, just off of the west side of the Penn State Hershey campus. Back again this year, the market features a free, weekly concert series from 6 to 8 p.m. This Thursday, July 18, highlights Crossing Abbey Road, a Beatles cover band. On Thursday, July 25, the R&B-inspired Sabrina Duke Band will perform. The Galactic Cowboy Orchestra — a unique blend of bluegrass, jazz and world/fusion elements – will be featured Aug. 1.

This week, the market also offers a Dance for Parkinson’s Disease from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, July 25, the market will host the Hershey Gardens and the Greenhouse at 2:30 p.m. Also planned, at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 1 is Reiki by Ricki, followed by Hershey Library Story Time from 4 to 6 p.m.
