Penn State Centre Stage to present 'Doubt: A Parable'

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Centre Stage's next production will be "Doubt: A Parable" from July 24 to Aug. 3 at Penn State Downtown Theatre Center.

A media event is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, in Room 114, Theatre Building, University Park.

"Doubt" is written by John Patrick Shanley and directed by Jim Wise.

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Play, the drama will feature critically acclaimed actor Jane Ridley as she performs in her last production before retiring from the School of Theatre.

Showtimes are:

-- Previews at 7:30 p.m. July 24 and 25
-- Opening night doors open at 6:30 p.m. July 26
-- Evenings at 7:30 p.m. July 30, 31 and Aug. 1
-- Evenings at 8 p.m. July 26 and 27 and Aug. 2 and 3
-- Matinees at 2 p.m. July 31 and Aug. 3

Tickets are $60 for opening night, $30 for evening shows and $20 for previews and matinees. Tickets for the opening night reception/show are $60 and include pre-show hors d’ouevres, show and post-show desserts. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the show begins at 8 p.m.
