Kids in College program offers fun and learning for grades K-8 in July

UNIONTOWN, Pa. — Area youth are invited to attend college this summer at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, as part of the Kids in College program. Fun and learning come together to offer students in kindergarten through eighth-grade a variety of activities to expand their minds and imagination. Nearly 30 academic and culturally enriching courses and workshops are being offered on campus during two one-week sessions in July.

Kids in College features courses in sports and fitness, which include baseball and softball strategies, soccer and physical education games; liberal arts and history with classes ranging from South American culture and travel to a journey through the decades; arts and crafts classes including recycled art, photography and hands-on creative activities; and math and science courses including natural disasters, the physics of building a roller coaster and astronomy. The courses are taught by highly motivated and student-focused faculty. Throughout the week, children will also have the opportunity to interact in small group settings with children from various local school districts.

The fee for each course is $85. There is a discount for students who take two classes or more in a week and for multiple children from the same family. Lunch will be provided free to those children who register for full-day sessions.
