Libraries offer free seminars in citation management

Patrons can learn how to organize research sources

The University Libraries are offering free seminars for Penn Staters in citation management tools this summer. These introductory sessions to Zotero, EndNote and Mendeley are taught by librarians and are aimed at helping students and faculty learn how to organize their research sources.

Zotero is a free Firefox extension that can be used to collect, manage and cite data. EndNote can be used to search online bibliographic databases, organize references, images and PDFs in any language and create bibliographies and lists instantly. Mendeley, in addition to being a free reference manager, is also an academic social network that encourages collaboration online. Patrons can find out which of these tools is the best fit for your needs by signing up for the seminars.
