Human Resources works with Executive Programs to offer management development

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- A new management development program offered through a collaboration with the Penn State Office of Human Resources and Penn State Executive Programs in the Smeal College of Business will target management-level faculty and staff at the University.

Through a series of six, one-day sessions, participants in the Penn State Excellence in Management Program will bolster their skills in a variety of topic areas designed to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed for success in a management role. The business faculty will deliver curriculum on strategic leadership and thinking, decision-making, communications and innovation. Penn State leaders will focus on Penn State-specific systems related to budgetary issues and performance management. Throughout this program, content is linked to applied learning assignments and incorporates a 360-degree assessment tool and a change management simulation.
