Penn State Harrisburg maintains AACSB accreditation

Following a recent Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) re-accreditation, Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Business Administration maintains a distinction held by less than five percent of the world’s business programs.

AACSB International is the longest serving, global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. Of the approximately 13,000 business schools worldwide, only 672 business schools in 50 countries and territories uphold the accreditation. The Penn State Harrisburg School of Business Administration was first accredited by AACSB International in 1998.“For almost 100 years, AACSB International has been the premier accrediting body for business programs. We’re proud to have the quality of our academic programs, faculty, and student learning experience re-affirmed by this prestigious organization,” said school director Stephen Schappe. “AACSB accreditation ensures students, parents and employers that our business school provides a high-quality business education based on rigorous international standards.”The five-year re-accreditation includes all of the school’s baccalaureate degree programs – accounting, finance, information systems, management and marketing – and its master of business administration and master of science in information systems degree programs.
