Penn State rugby teams to play in nationally televised Rugby Sevens at PPL Park

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State men's and women's rugby teams will compete in the 2013 USA Sevens Collegiate Rugby Championship, June 1-2 at PPL Park in Chester, Pa., near Philadelphia. NBC and NBC Sports will broadcast eight hours of coverage during the weekend. PPL Park is the home of Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union.

Tickets are available for Penn State fans at www.usasevenscrc.com/tickets/pennstate. Tickets purchased through the Penn State link will receive a 25 percent discount. Tournament action runs from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. each day, and tickets include access to the stadium for the full day, as well as entry to a fan festival with live music, interactive activities for kids, a rugby combine and clinic and food vendors. 

Penn State's men's team will be competing with 20 of the top teams from across the country including Notre Dame, Florida, Texas and Cal, as well as local rivals including Temple, St. Joseph's, Kutztown and Penn.

The back-to-back national champion women's team will take on powerhouses such as Ohio State, Texas and Georgia Tech and local rival Temple.
