Penn College offering noncredit computer courses

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering basic, noncredit computer classes beginning this month.

-- Beginner’s Guide to Computers and Microsoft Office (from 9 a.m. to noon May 21 and 23 or from 6 to 9 p.m. July 22 and 29)

This class is designed for new computer users to create basic files in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

-- Creating Greeting Cards Using Publisher (from 9 a.m. to noon May 29)

This course introduces Microsoft Publisher to those new to the computer. Topics include using Publisher to create greeting cards, invitations and calendars.

-- Computer Camp for Adults 55+ (from 9 a.m. to noon June 11 and 18)

This fun course introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes. Topics explored include games, email, the Internet, Facebook and basic word-processing for letter-writing.
