Auditions will be held April 28, 29 for Center Theatre Players musical

The Center Theatre Players will hold open auditions for male and female roles in the upcoming production of the Tony award-winning musical comedy, "The Drowsy Chaperone," at 7 p.m., Sunday and Monday, April 28 and 29, in the auditorium of the Penn State Beaver Student Union Building.

Directed by Sandy Reigel, the show will be presented as part of the Brodhead Cultural Center's summer season at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, July 25, 26, and 27 in the auditorium.

Those auditioning must be 18 years of age or older, should prepare one Broadway-style song, and, if possible, bring their own accompaniment. Educators who participate in the production may be eligible for Act 48 credit through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The show pays tribute to the golden age of musical comedy as the story of a Hollywood starlet trying to find her true love comes to life in the living room of a musical theatre fan.

To schedule an audition appointment, contact the Brodhead Cultural Center office at 724-773-3610 or rxm70@psu.edu.
