Sporting Clays event raises more than $74,000 for Children's Miracle Network

The 17th annual Sporting Clays Charity Event, held on April 6 at the Hummelstown Field & Stream, raised $74,171 for Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. The event is organized each year by Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s facilities department and friends of the Medical Center.

In all, 175 shooters were involved with this year’s Sporting Clays event, and more than 90 organizations made donations. Participants heard from the parents of 7-year-old Miracle Child Derric Rager, a patient treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, who spoke about their experience with Children’s Miracle Network and Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.

Over the past 17 years, the event has raised more than $760,000 for Children’s Miracle Network, making it the most successful Medical Center employee fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network.
