Blue & White Festival celebrates best student films

The best films produced by students across all majors at Penn State will be screened during the Blue & White Film Festival, which begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at the State Theatre in State College.

The Blue & White Film Festival is Penn State’s largest independent student film festival. Organized by the Penn State Student Film Organization and sponsored by the College of Communications and University Park Allocation Committee, the festival aims to celebrate the best in student created and produced film over the last year.

Submissions are received from students across all majors and colleges at Penn State and the entries are officially judged by a group of professors, industry professionals and alumni. The hand-selected films are then screened during a red-carpet event at the State Theatre that celebrates the dedication, hard work and passion of young filmmakers at Penn State.

Tickets for the event are free to Penn State students and may be obtained at the State Theatre box office or by contacting the Penn State Student Film Organization at studentfilmorganization@gmail.com.
