Student video assistants at work on Penn College campus

Christopher J. Goodwin, a junior in the Web design and interactive media major, is the newest student employee to join the College Information and Community Relations (CICR) Office at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

As a student video production assistant, Goodwin, of Jericho, Vt., helps the CICR video-production team produce videos featured on the college’s website and YouTube channel,, and on public television.

Goodwin is an active freelance Web developer and an associate certified by the World Wide Web Consortium. He enjoys video editing and photography, and his career goals include “moving on to work with the industry’s best to create beautiful and usable Web experiences to large-scale video productions, although my passion lies mostly in postproduction of video.”

In his role as a student video production assistant, Goodwin joins Kathleen "Katie" K. Hart, of Binghamton, N.Y., who began working in CICR as a student video production assistant in January 2012.

Hart earned an associate degree in mass media communication in December 2011 and plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in Web design and multimedia in May. Her career goals are to work in photography and videography in the advertising and marketing arena. She performs photography and videography services for weddings and other life celebrations.
