The No. 11 Penn State men's lacrosse team had Jack Forster (Jenkintown, Pa.) and TJ Sanders (Orillia, Ont.) honored by the Colonial Athletic Association office on Monday (April 8) afternoon for their outstanding play in a 13-6 win over Drexel on Saturday.

Forster was named CAA Co-Player of the Week for his five-point game against the Dragons. Forster tallied four goals including a natural hat trick in the first period. Forster also tallied three ground balls and didn't commit a turnover. Monday's weekly honor is the third of Forster's career, having previously been named the CAA's player of the week on April 9, 2012. Forster was also ECAC Rookie of the Week on March 16, 2009.

Forster shares the honor with Towson goalkeeper Andrew Wescavage, who made 20 saves in a win over UMass. The Nittany Lions and Tigers tangle in Happy Valley on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game, which will be televised live on Big Ten Network.

Sanders was named CAA Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season. An offensive powerhouse in his own right, Sanders notched his sixth hat trick of the year and fifth game with four goals or more in the win over Drexel. Sanders scored four times on eight shots, upping his team-leading goals mark to 28 on the season.

The two weekly awards brings Penn State's total to eight for the season. Sanders has four rookie honors, while Austin Kaut (Morton, Pa.) has brought home two player of the week accolades. Shane Sturgis (Downingtown, Pa.) and Forster each have one player of the week laurel to their name this season.
