Schreyer Institute offers 'Preparing Your Job Talk' workshop

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Lauren Kooistra and Andrew Porter, graduate consultants with the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence will lead “Preparing Your Job Talk” from 1:45 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, in Room 315 Rider Building. The workshop will also be offered from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in the same location.

Are you a graduate student starting to look for a job? This interactive workshop will focus on how to give an effective job talk in an academic setting. Andrew and Lauren will provide insight into giving a memorable job talk for a variety of audiences. Learn important elements to be included in any job talk, how to structure your talk for a specific audience and more. This workshop is part of a three-seminar series focusing on professional development and preparation for the job market.

All graduate students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
