Center for Workplace Learning & Performance to offer exclusive training program

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Office of Human Resource’s Center for Workplace Learning & Performance, in collaboration with VitalSmarts, the company that also developed Crucial Conversations, is offering a specialized change management program for Penn State on May 22. The program is titled, “Change Anything: Skills for Self-Directed Change,” and will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the James M. Elliott Building.

The Change Anything Training is a one-day classroom course that teaches individuals to recognize the personal, social and environmental forces of influence currently working against them, and then turn them in their favor. Participants will explore how to create change plans that lead to lasting results and how to translate performance feedback into action.

Enrollment is limited and employees can register online. The program fee is $390, and each participant will receive  a Participant Toolkit, the Audio Companion four-CD set, the best-selling book "Change Anything: The New Science of Personal Success," as well as access to additional online learning resources provided by Crucial Skills.

Master Trainer Candace Bertotti from VitalSmarts will be facilitating the program. Candace has more than 10 years of experience in communication and leadership development and specializes in conflict resolution, negotiation and interpersonal communication to help individuals, teams and organizations increase effectiveness.
