Next Brown Bag luncheon to look at pinching pennies

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The University Staff Advisory Council will hold the next installment of its Brown Bag Networking Luncheon Series from noon to 1 p.m. April 23.

The series provides staff with the opportunity to gather together and network with each other to discuss a topic of common interest. The discussion will be predominantly participant driven, so please come prepared to share your thoughts and learn how you might benefit from networking with other Penn State staff.

The focus for the April luncheon will be “How to Pinch Your Pennies.”  Staff members are invited to discuss ways that they stretch their budgets.  Are you an extreme-couponer? Have you found a phone app that really helps you find the deals?  Have you learned a trick that motivates you to save your hard-earned salary?  Whatever your secrets are, we’d sure like to hear them. Who doesn’t want a trick to make that check go just a little further?

Dessert and beverages will be provided.

Space is limited to the first 30 participants, who will later be notified of the luncheon site. Please RSVP to Stefanie at skt2@psu.edu by April 12. Staff not located at University Park are invited to participate via videoconference. Please check with your respective college/campus to determine the location/setup and notify skt2@psu.edu with the information.
