Assistant Finance Officer named one of Pittsburgh's Fab 40

Penn State Greater Allegheny Assistant Finance Officer Aaron Whigham has been named one of Pittsburgh’s Fab 40 by the New Pittsburgh Courier.

The newspaper’s Fab 40 Awards highlight African-American young professionals in the region and demonstrate the city’s potential to cultivate young minority talent.

Whigham earned his bachelor of science in finance from California University of Pennsylvania, where he served as a board member of the Black Student Union and president of the University’s Young & Gifted Gospel Choir. Whigham was an INROADS scholar during college and currently serves as an ambassador for the program, which is geared at preparing youth and young adults for corporate and community leadership.

In addition to his finance position, Whigham serves as co-facilitator of the “African American Male Mentoring” program at Penn State Greater Allegheny.  He is currently working towards his masters of business administration degree.  He also is the senior pastor of Christ Is All Inner City Ministries.

This year’s Fab 40 Awards reception will be held at 6 p.m. March 22 at the Fairmont Hotel.  A networking mixer will follow at Roman Bistro, by invitation only, from 8 to 10 p.m.
