UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Research Unplugged goes on location this week to Penn State's Palmer Museum of Art, where curators Joyce Robinson and Dana Carlisle Kletchka will present "Behind the Scenes at the Museum: What Do Curators Do?"
The event will take place on Thursday, March 21, at 12:15 p.m. at the Palmer. Robinson, curator of art and affiliate associate professor of art history, is a specialist in modern American and European art. She teaches courses primarily on African American art.
Dana Carlisle Kletchka is the museum's curator of education. She specializes in art museum education and teaches Art/Art History 409: Museum Studies each spring.
Since the Palmer Museum of Art opened in 1972, it has been an admission-free arts resource for the University and surrounding communities and offers an ever-changing array of exhibitions and displays of its permanent collection.
For the season's four remaining programs beginning March 28, Research Unplugged will return to its usual location in the Schlow Centre Region Library's Downsbrough Community Room. The events are held on Thursdays from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. each Thursday and are free and open to the public, with complimentary light refreshments.
