Iron Chef Competition set for April 13

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Nutrition Graduate Student Association (NGSA) will sponsor the fifth annual Iron Chef Competition from 1:30 to 4 p.m. April 13, in the Henderson Building. Judging begins at 3 p.m. in the Hintz Family Center, and all donations from the event will benefit the State College Area Food Bank.

Teams compete in a one-hour cooking competition that requires them to incorporate a secret ingredient into their dishes. Eleven teams, with three members each, can compete. Teams will be designated on a first-come, first-served basis. At least one member must be affiliated with Penn State. Each team must raise a minimum donation of $100 for the food bank for entry into the competition. Prizes will be awarded to the teams with the best-judged food and the largest donation.
