New service allows for easier PASS file management

A new Web-based service, called WebFiles, makes accessing files on Penn State servers like PASS and UDrive a little easier. WebFiles, available through Penn State Information Technology Services (ITS), now allows students, faculty and staff to access their files from a home computer or almost any portable device, with a Web browser and Internet access.

Previously, users who needed to connect from outside the University had to follow several instructional steps or download extra software. Now all that’s required is visiting the WebFiles website and providing your Access Account information. Users can view, edit, upload and download their files directly from the browser. The service also makes it easier to transfer documents to and from online servers such as GoogleDrive, DropBox and SkyDrive.

WebFiles is available to anyone with a Penn State Access Account. To learn more and to access WebFiles, visit clc.its.psu.edu/UnivServices/WebFiles.
