Palmer Museum of Art announces The Art of Music spring 2013 performances

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The public is invited to the monthly series that features performers from Penn State’s School of Music and the local community. Each free concert begins at 12:10 p.m. in the Pincus Gallery of Contemporary Art.

Anthony J. Costa, assistant professor of clarinet, will perform “Gems and Diversions for Clarinet” at 12:10 p.m. Feb. 20.David Stambler, associate professor of saxophone, will perform “The Classical Saxophone: From Historic to Modern” at 12:10 p.m. March 20.Penn’s Woods Chamber Choir, directed by Christopher Kiver, will perform “The British Are Coming: Choral Music by Modern British Composers” at 12:10 April 17.The Palmer Museum of Art at Penn State is located on Curtin Road and admission is free. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. The museum is closed Mondays and some holidays. Reduced hours over spring break are noon to 4 p.m. March 2 to 10.
