Vote 1986 PSU Football Team Into ESPN Semifinals

The 1986 Penn State Nittany Lion football team was one of the best
teams in college football history, rolling to a perfect 12-0 record
and upsetting top-ranked Miami, 14-10, in the Fiesta Bowl to earn the
University's--and Joe Paterno's--second national football
championship. The 1986 team, along with seven other great teams, has
advanced to the quarterfinals of a Tournament of Champions contest at
ESPN.com, where fans can cast their votes on which team should be
crowned the greatest of all time. In the first round of the contest,
the 1986 Nittany Lions defeated the1968 Ohio State Buckeyes; now,
Penn State is matched up with another formidable team from the
past--the 1972 USC Trojans--and the voting is currently even. The
deadline for voting is Thursday, Oct. 24. To cast your vote to help
put Penn State over the top and into the semifinals of voting in
