Heard on Campus: Chief Richard Picciotto on 9/11

"I think the most important lesson I've learned from the World Trade Center attacks is that life is precious. You have to realize and put priorities on life and enjoy it. People get so wrapped up in life, grades, monetary values that they forget why people are here. Life is good and you've got to enjoy it." Chief Richard Picciotto, the highest-ranking firefighter to survive the World Trade Center collapse and the last fireman to escape the devastation, speaking Monday (Nov. 11) on the University Park Campus as part of Penn State's Distinguished Speakers Series.
